Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) Bokalio uses, on both the dashboard and the customer-facing booking widget.
1. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Can it be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you logged in, remembers a booking in progress, protects against fraud (e.g. session/auth cookies) | No — the platform can't function without these |
| Preference | Remembers your light/dark theme choice (stored in your browser, not sent to our servers) | Yes — clearing site data resets it |
| Analytics / conversion tracking | Where an Owner has enabled it for their product, measures how customers found and completed a booking (e.g. via the platform's Tracking feature) | Yes, via your browser/cookie settings — see Section 3 |
2. Third-party cookies
Our payment partners (Stripe, PayPal) may set their own cookies during checkout as part of processing your payment securely and preventing fraud. These are governed by their own cookie/privacy policies, not this one.
3. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will likely break core functionality like staying logged in or completing a booking. For third-party cookies set by our payment partners, refer to their own opt-out tools.
4. Changes
We'll update this page if the categories of cookies we use change materially.
