Terms of Service — Customers
Last updated: September 8, 2026
These terms apply when you book a vehicle, table, appointment, or other product through Bokalio's booking widget, whether on a business's own website, a Bokalio marketplace listing, or a direct Bokalio booking link. "Bokalio", "we", "us" refers to [Bokalio Legal Entity Name]. "You" refers to the person making a booking.
1. Who you're booking with
Bokalio is a booking platform, not the provider of the vehicle, table, appointment, or other service you're booking. That is provided by the independent business you're booking from (the "Owner", shown on the booking page). Your contract for the actual product or service is with the Owner. Bokalio facilitates the booking and, in most cases, the payment.
2. Making a booking
- The price, any deposit or booking fee, and what's charged online versus owed in person are shown to you before you confirm.
- A booking is only confirmed once payment (or the applicable deposit) has been successfully processed and you've received confirmation — holding a date/time while you're checking out doesn't guarantee it until then.
- You're responsible for giving accurate contact details and party/group size, and for checking any lead-time, age, or other requirements the Owner has set for that product.
3. Payment
Online payment is processed through our payment partners (Stripe and/or PayPal). Depending on how the Owner has set up the product, you may pay the full price online, a deposit or booking fee online with the remainder owed directly to the Owner, or nothing online with the full amount owed in person — this is always shown to you before you pay. A platform booking fee, where applicable, is shown as a separate line at checkout.
4. Cancellations and refunds
See the Cancellation & Refund Policy for what's refundable. Cancellation windows and any Owner-specific cancellation terms are shown on the booking page or your confirmation.
EU/UK customers: under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and equivalent UK law, the standard right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days generally does not apply to services related to leisure activities — such as vehicle rental, accommodation, dining, or an appointment — where the contract specifies a particular date or period of performance. This means the Owner's stated cancellation policy, not a general cooling-off right, normally governs bookings made through Bokalio. This doesn't affect any other mandatory right you have under local law (for example, where the service isn't provided as described).
5. Your responsibilities
- Arrive/attend as booked, or cancel within the Owner's stated window.
- Follow any safety instructions, house rules, or requirements (e.g. minimum age, license for a vehicle) set by the Owner.
- A no-show or late cancellation may be charged according to the Owner's cancellation policy shown at booking.
6. Liability
Because the underlying vehicle, table, appointment, or other service is provided by the Owner and not by Bokalio, the Owner is responsible for its quality, safety, and legality, and for complying with any licensing or insurance requirements that apply to it. Bokalio's role is limited to operating the booking platform and, where applicable, facilitating payment. To the extent permitted by law, Bokalio isn't liable for the acts or omissions of an Owner, or for the product or service itself — your recourse for a problem with the actual booking is with the Owner. This doesn't affect any right you have against Bokalio for our own errors in processing your booking or payment, or any right that can't be excluded under your local consumer protection law.
7. Your data
See our Privacy Policy for how your booking details are used and shared with the Owner you're booking from.
8. Complaints and disputes
A complaint about the product or service itself should go to the Owner first — their contact details are on your booking confirmation. A complaint about the platform, payment processing, or this booking flow can be sent to [support@bokalio.example].
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live, including within the EU, UK, or a U.S. state.
